Committed to long-term community philanthropy
The Madison Community Foundation was established in 1942 as a community trust. Our mission is to encourage, facilitate and manage long-term philanthropy. We accomplish this by working with individuals, families, corporations and charities to establish permanent endowment funds and facilitate charitable gifts that have a lasting impact.
The Madison Community Foundation is comprised of over 807 individual funds with total assets over $155 million as of December 31, 2007. In 2006, more than $10.5 million was distributed from over 730 funds to charitable organizations throughout Dane County, across the United States, and worldwide.
We strive to make philanthropy accessible to all by offering a wide variety of funds options. See Ways to Give for more information.
